Master Degree Program
CLASP International partnered with the University of Zambia (UNZA) in Lusaka, Zambia and created an intensive 2-year Master of Education in Speech, Language, and Communication Disorders. The program was under the Department of Special Education, Psychology, and Sociology in the School of Education.
On December 7, 2015, 18 students graduated with this degree and are considered the first local specialists in Speech, Language, and Communication Disorders in Zambia. They will continue their work in the school systems in Zambia as well as begin private work to help children with disabilities communicate their wants, needs, and feelings.
The School of Education and the School Of Medicine at UNZA have agreed to continue the legacy of speech therapy in Zambia.
