2013 February Trip

We have 7 teams totaling over 70 professional volunteers set to travel to Africa throughout the course of 2013. These professionals range from NICU specialists to speech pathologists to audiologists. The first team for 2013 leaves on February 21, 2013 for Lusaka, Zambia. The team, lead by Katie Kauppila and Lee Hinton, will be targeting speechpathology training in areas of adult care, NICU care, speech-language disorders, feeding disorders and autism.

New York Winter Social

CLASP International is hosting a Winter Social Fundraiser in New York City benefitting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Degree Program in Lusaka, Zambia! This training program will help prevent premature infants from acquiring a disability and increase the overall survival rate of this vulnerable population.  A team of NICU nurses and respiratory therapists will be leaving for Lusaka, Zambia on April 16, 2013 and we are asking you to partner with us on our mission to raise support for this great endeavor. Come Join Us!

Mark your calendars for this years Crawfish Classic and Concert featuring a New Orleans style Jazz Band and The Ray Johnston Band!

Special Children Booths from 4 pm – 7 pm

New Orleans Jazz Musicians from 6 pm – 7pm

The Ray Johnston Band Concert from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Boiled Crawfish, Burgers, Boutique Booths, Tournament Games and more all throughout the night.  Come join us for a night of fun as we benefit CLASP International!


$8 –Child (ages 3-12) entrance and concert

$20 – Adults entrance and concert

$15 – Crawfish, potatoes, corn and drink

Food Trucks will be available of those of you who do not eat seafood.

TSHA Speechpathology Graduate Book Drive

We will be hosting a graduate book drive at the TSHA convention.  For all the speechpathologists in Texas, please ask your friends and colleagues if they have any of the graduate books listed below. These books will be used by the Zambian graduate students in the program at University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. Books that were purchased with public school funding cannot legally be donated.

We are looking for the following books to be donated at the CLASP Booth at the TSHA Convention March 7-9, 2013.
